Overview
Sell a single digital product for Telegram Stars — Telegram's own in-app currency. Buyers pay in two taps without leaving the chat, and there's no Stripe account, card provider, or webhook to set up first.
Who It's For
Perfect if you have one digital product — a guide, template pack, mini-course, file, or access link — and want the fastest possible way to sell it in Telegram. Because it's priced and paid in Telegram Stars, there's nothing to connect: no Stripe account, no card payment provider, no webhook. If you're selling something physical, or need to charge in real-world currency, use the Stripe-based Product Sales template instead — Stars can only be used for digital goods and services, that's Telegram's own rule.
Setup Requirements
- Decide what digital product you're selling and how you'd pitch it in a sentence.
- Decide what link or file buyers should receive right after paying.
- Decide the price in Stars (the template ships with ⭐ 100 by default).
- Decide who should be alerted every time someone buys.
- Connect your Telegram bot: Settings → Bots → paste the token from @BotFather.
- Open the "Accept Stars Payment" block and set your real price (a whole number of Stars) and the invoice title/description, then update the matching ⭐ price shown in the product card message and on the Buy button to match.
- Press Deploy.
- Test it for real: send /start, tap Buy, and complete a Stars payment (you can buy Stars right inside Telegram). Then test the other path too — send any text instead of paying, and confirm you get the "nothing was charged" message and the retry button.
- To get notified on every sale, send /start to your own bot once, then tag your own contact with the alert tag you chose during setup (default "owner") on the Contacts page.
Node Breakdown
- Someone sends /start and lands straight in the sales flow
- They see a product card: your product's name, your pitch, and the price in Stars (⭐ 100 by default)
- Buy opens a native Telegram payment window right inside the chat — no external page, no card form
- If they pay, they're tagged as a customer, you're alerted, and they get the delivery link immediately
- If they don't pay — say they type something instead of completing the invoice — the bot reassures them nothing was charged and offers a retry button that reopens the same payment

Good to know
- Telegram Stars need no setup beyond a connected bot — there's no provider token to request, no Stripe account, no webhook endpoint to register.
- Stars are priced as whole numbers — ⭐ 100, not 100.00 — there are no cents.
- The price and the invoice text are set directly on the payment step itself, not from a variable — change them there, not in Variables.
- Telegram only allows Stars payments for digital goods and services, not physical products — keep that in mind before repurposing this template.
- This is a one-time purchase; Stars also support recurring/subscription billing, but that needs a different setup than this template ships with.
- Everything else — the pitch, the delivery message, and the retry copy — is editable afterwards in the visual editor.
Keep in mind
- Stars are for digital goods and services only — don't sell anything physical with this template, that breaks Telegram's own policy.
- This is a one-off purchase, not a subscription — if you want recurring billing, that needs Stars' separate recurring setup, not this flow as-is.
- Don't put {{var|...}} placeholders into the payment block's title or description — Telegram shows them literally, without filling in the variable.
- If you add another retry button, point it back at the same payment block instead of duplicating it.
